| It is with great joy that we welcome the following new members into our congregation: Gwen Davis Nix, Bob and MaryAnn Droege, Vince Daniels, and Trudy Cottles.
The youth will be participating again this year in the 30 Hour Famine. The participants will voluntarily fast for 30 hours to raise awareness of hunger around the world and to raise money to help end hunger. Please consider supporting the youth with your prayers and donations. On the Sunday before the fast, September 7th, a Spaghetti Dinner/Fellowship Meal will be held after worship. Donations of drinks, desserts and sides are appreciated. The Men's Fellowship is selling beautiful stepping stones with stained glass imprints of our sanctuary window. These are in pre-order phase right now, so sign up asap. The cost is $35 with $10 going to support our preschool scholarship fund. There are also wall plaques for $20 with the same purpose for a $5 profit. The wall plaques are available now. The monthly Fellowship Breakfast will meet at 9:00, Tuesday, September 2nd at Joe Wheeler. Everyone is invited. CPWM will meet on September 8th at 7:00 pm in the Family Life Center. All women are invited. The CPW Day Circle will meet Tuesday, September 16th at 10:30 am The CPW fall yardsale will be held on October 3rd and 4th. Please clean out your closets of your unused. ,stuff and bring your priced items to the set up on Thursday, October 2nd The Men's Fellowship will meet for their monthly breakfast on Saturday, September 13th at 8:00 am at Bayhill Restaurant. All men are invited. The Men's Fellowship is sponsoring a Consignment Tool Sale scheduled for October 3-4 If you have tools to sell or tools you'd like to purchase, this will be a wonderful opportunity. A small fee is required on sales. For more information, speak to Ben Jared. The annual Church Picnic will be held on September 28th. Mark your calendars for this special event. The meal will start at 5:00, but the park (TVA park "Old Joe Wheeler" on the south side of the dam) is available to us for the entire afternoon. Come early to play and visit. Presbytery will be on September 20th at Old Mt. Bethel. Please keep Larry Snoddy (delegate) and Carlos Davis (alternate) in your prayers. A mission trip to the gulf coast is planned for the week of October 12th. If you are called to support or participate in this ministry, please contact Brother Pat. Upper Room classes, held on Wednesdays at 10:00 am, will resume on September 3rd. Fellowship Meals are held on Wednesdays at 5:45 p.m. This meal is for ALL of us. Please join us for this special time for fellowship. The Children's Choir, under the direction of Karen Cantrell practices on Wednesdays at 6:00pm. Children pre-school to age 8 are encouraged to participate.
Holy Communion will be served on the 1st Sunday of every month. Please bring your non-perishable food donations and place them in front of the communion table. GuestBook!!!
